The date looms ever closer. In slightly more than a week, I'll be going in. Selene was asking me if I'm ready. Honestly, I don't know how to be ready. Got a lot of advice from various people, things ranging from pray every day to forgoing all manner of logic. I'm really thankful for all the tips, folks. Truly. But I guess NS is something best experienced, not talked about. So...here goes nothing!

Past few days have been hectic. Mass on Sunday was super good. Praise the Lord for our new priest :D Really enjoyed the reception after mass yesterday. It was nice just chilling out and joking around. I'm glad everyone liked the books, despite the numerous spelling/typo errors T.T Sighs. It reminded me of COS though. Just having people enjoy the work I've done...it's really affirming and heartwarming.

I'm truly thankful to God for Priscillia. I think I should really thank her one day, for her enthusiasm and all the time and heart she's given to STAC. It's wonderful having her around, especially in a time when the choir's social dynamics seem to be in flux. There's a fear in me that, with her outgoing personality, she'll be 'snatched up' by the other youth groups. But I've realised that this is a fear I have to overcome, because it's already cost me two very important people.

There's been this sense of 'putting my affairs into order' the past couple of days. Just sorting stuff out, getting things done before NS kicks in. I know it's not like I'm leaving for good, but I doubt I'll have a lot of time, especially during PTP/BMT. Just...wanna set some things straight before I leave.

On the agenda are the two letters (written, not yet delivered), the books (printed, not yet given), the farewell party (organised, not yet attended), and the prayer box (made, not yet established). Okay, I know it seems like nothing has been done, but they will be! Also have to get my army phone and some extra underwear. Priscillia asked yesterday if I have 'packed my luggage'. Clearly, I have not.

I've already offered up the next two years to God in the Eucharist. Now all that remains is to keep trusting in Him. There's a beautiful thing that I realised from Awaken: everything that happens in life happens because God allows it, and if He allows it, it means that it is necessary for something greater to be fulfilled.

Here's to NS. Here's to my fears, my doubts, and my insecurities. Here's to my failures and successes. Here's to the people I will miss, and the people I will meet. And here's to two years of insanity, out of which I hope I will become, as they say, a man.

God bless you for reading ;)
