Thank God for today.

It has been, to say the least, a really full day today. Mass, badminton, mahjong, then BBQ. No time for even an afternoon snooze. Haha.

Mass today was amazing. It really felt like the mass itself was meant specially for me. It just gave me so much affirmation, like God was saying 'Go for it. It will work out.' Reconciliation, desperation, unity. Everything just hit home. Felt so comforted and touched that I almost teared.

After mass and practice, I got face-painted by Big Beatrice. Then we tried to paint Ninja, but she was too ninja. Hahahah. Managed to get paint on her cheek though. Achievement unlocked! :P Went down to 401 for breakfast. I said something which Michael happily took out of context. Now he has something to remember me by in Nottingham. Haha.

Badminton was fun. Nice to see Nicol again, after so long. We played for almost 2.5 hours. Felt damn tired afterwards, but it was great fun. Bernard and Unc Sam are quite pro. Selene kept doing funny stuff and made everyone laugh. Try laughing and doing sports at the same time. It's tiring. :X

Went back home, changed and cooled down for a while. Selene and Nicol came after a while for mahjong. Made miko (which I didn't get to drink T.T) and played while people started to pour in. In the end I was playing with Nicol, Priscillia and Matthias. WAH. Damn slow. Hahaha. Now I know how Mom feels when she plays with us. :P

My room soon reached maximum capacity, so we moved downstairs. Met a couple of pitfalls: no grill, not enough charcoal, not enough cutlery etc. Managed to overcome all of them, after feeling pekcek for a bit. But God is great, and the rest of the night was awesometastic. Had lots of food (a bit too much), good music and good company. Nice to just talk to Michael before he leaves. In my first couple of months in STAC, he was the last person I expected to feel any sort of closeness to. But now he's leaving, and I thank God for his presence in my life these past few years. He has taught me a lot, and I wish him all the best.

The biggest thing I would take away from tonight is that simple gesture, and those few words spoken and exchanged with one of the xmms. It was wonderful, so much so that I was a little stunned when she offered me the bag of chips. If you're reading, I really appreciated that small gesture, and praise God for it and for your presence tonight. Through you, God has answered my prayers and healed me, just before I begin my NS :)

Nothing left to do now except get my phone, underwear and pack the rest of my 'luggage'. I feel...ready. Yeah, that's it. I feel like I'm ready to begin this new phase of my life. After all that's happened...what can I say? God is good. God is good. And He will continue being good.

So. Here goes nothing and everything. Praise the Lord!
